Ok, so you’ve got a website, and you want to get indexed into Google. The question is HOW? Two great methods to make sure that you get indexed fast and right away are optimizing your website for the search engines first and foremost, then take the extra step of manually submitting to Google through their Add URL page.
Choosing the best keywords for your website
Choosing the right keywords for your website is the absolute key to getting indexed into Google quickly. You want to choose keywords that have low competition but decent search results. If you choose a keyword that has a lot of competition, you could spend months competing with established sites before you get ranked in the top 10.
So, how do you find keywords that meet these requirements?
Using Google’s Keyword Tool is a great start. Just type in the main keywords or keyword phrase you want to rank for, and the keyword tool will show you the monthly search volume as well as various variations of the keyword.
If you are just starting with affiliate marketing online, I would use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool to create a list of a few keyword ideas. You can also choose keywords that you think best describe the product or services that you are promoting.
Once you have created a list of a few keywords that are low in competition, as little as 10 searches per day, you can go on to step 2.
Step 2. Submit your keywords to Google
Go to Google and in the search box enter all of the keywords that you have listed in steps 1 and 2. If you own more than one website, you can submit each of your keywords to Google separately.
If you do not own more than one website and believe that you are going to make a keyword site, when you submit your list of keywords for indexing, you can manually place them in groups of 3, 5, or 10. I would suggest submitting 10 keywords per group for each website. By submitting to groups of 3, you can get your site indexed much quicker, this technique also allows you to get spidered more often.
Step 3. Social Bookmarking Your Site
Social bookmarking is a great way to get your updated articles read by many people in your niche. By bookmarking your site in popular social bookmarking sites you greatly increase the odds of people visiting your site.
You can find a list of top social bookmarking sites by typing “del.icio.us/bookmarktracked” into Google.
Step 4. Create a large list of closely related niche forums
Join several forums that are in your niche and create a few profiles on the forums. Be sure to include a link back to your niche site in your profile link.
Step 5. Create a few blogs
Create a few relevant blogs on the topic with the same keywords as your main niche sites. The blogs should have a link at the bottom that sends the reader to your main site. Several blogs on the topic will create many links back to your site.
Step 6. Comment on Blogs
Comment on blogs and forums in your niche with a link back to your site. Other ways to get free one-way links and increasing your search engine rankings greatly.
Step 7. Create and distribute a press release
Write a press release about your niche topic and distribute it to various press release channels. Each press release will create another backlink.
Step 8. Participate in several forums
Join a few relevant forums and participate in them with a link back to your site. This will bring you more free one-way links and make your efforts look natural in the eyes of the search engines.
Step 9. Create a free product
Find a niche topic free product for download on the net and create a product directory for your site. Also, be sure to include several links to your site in your Product Directory. This will also improve your search engine rankings and bring you some traffic from your new subscribers.
Step 10. Write an eBook
Write a self-help eBook or an e-book on your niche topic and give it away for free. Include numerous links, and your efforts will have been indexed easily.
Step 11. Create a Squidoo Lense
Link to your site from Squidoo and use specific keywords in the articles. The links will get picked up by search engines and improve your search engine rankings. Also, links from Squidoo to your site will improve your placement in the search engines as well.
These are just a few methods that you can use to improve your search engine rankings. You should also constantly implement other search engine optimization techniques to keep your site on top.
